Joann's Banana Bread

 

3 ½ cups of flour

Ignore the next two ingredients if you use self-rising flour

     2 teaspoons baking powder

     1 teaspoon baking soda

3 cups sugar

 

Mix the dry ingredients in large bowl and set aside

 

4 bananas

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

1 cup of oil

4 whole eggs

1 cup of buttermilk

2 teaspoons vanilla

 

Mix the vanilla and lemon juice in a large bowl. then add the bananas.  Mash thoroughly.  Add oil, eggs and buttermilk, mixing constantly.  Mix until smooth and then add the dry ingredients

 

Grease three (3) 4x8 inch bread pans and lightly coat with sugar.  Pour the mixture evenly between the pans

 

Bake in a 350 degree oven for one hour or until brown and tooth pick comes out dry
