[Harold2001.FTW] Nora was a good cook.I can remember staying with them when Grampaw worked afternoons.Even the left overs tasted as if they just came off the stove.Her & Grampaw could fix some Pickled beans that would melt in your mouth.He was good at home brew too,but Grammaw kinda fround on that nonsince.Grammaw was a little woman but she had a lot to do,and she got it done.

Bailey Funeral home in Princeton was in charge of the services at 1:00 o'clock Buster was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local No.6896 of Mullins,W.Va. He was a retired Machinest from Pocahontas Fuel Co. Buster was a hard worker and worked worked most of his life away with little enjoyment.He loved to fish & Hunt! I remember he took me out once to show me his squrril dog work, I never would have believed what I seen.He had a one of a kind. Sure impressed me! Buster always took us kids for a ride in his old delivery van.It wasn't much but it sure beat walking. We sure injoyed it! Buster was a good man and would do anything he could to help you out. Buster & Daddy was brothers Virgie & mother was sisters so that makes us kids double first cousins.

[Harold2001.FTW] Douglas was borned in gary W.Va. Lived most of his life in Carswell hollow W.Va. He worked for Eastern Gas & Fuel Asso. in the coal mines for 24 years. When the coal mines went down! he went to Delaware state to work for a while, but living there and trying to raise a family in W.Va. just didn't work out. Douglas came back to W.Va. and went back in the coal mines. With no seniorty he was laid off a lot. In 1959 Douglas came to Fostoria,Ohio where he went to work for Seneca Wire & Mfg. Company.Douglas retired from there after 25 years of service. He had a lot of medical problems.Douglas had prostate problems,diabetic,was on dialysis for about 10 years.He had a memory second to none. Could remember things that happen 50 years ago, like it was yesterday.On sept. 28,1998 his problems & age cought up with him and Daddy past away,about 2:45 AM monday morning Augest 28,1998. Mary had a leg amputated about a months befor and had fell and broken her left hip. She was in St.Vinceon hosp. in Toledo,Ohio at the time of his death.About 1:00 AM Doug ask to use the bed pan, then ask, would be possible to sleep in Marys bed just for tonight? They said no problem. that was at 1:00 AM and at 2:00 AM check things were OK, at 3:00 AM check Daddy was gone.They must have LOVED each other a lot. On November 10,1998 at 11:55 Mother went to be with Daddy. In Just 44 days we lost them both. Daddy never seemed to snap back after being in a car wreck with his daughter Sue. He just seemed to go down hill after that. I really think he was just tired and gave up. His will to live was just not there anymore. For some unknown reason all of us kids stopped in and seen him on sunday. He told us he was weak and tired. He didn't move around or talk much that day.
